Tamir Rice was a tragic case of a kid with who should not have had that very realistic looking toy gun who was waving it around and poiting at people... there is no reasonable way anyone would have known it was a toy. the fact that the caller said he was not sure is evidence of that... and no way you would have known.

youre right: they all deserved to die, "dirt bag" that they were.

NYPD Sergeant Who Was At Scene Of Eric Garner's Death Will Lose 20 Vacation Days
BY ZACH SCHONFELD
AUG. 21, 2019 4:58 P.M.

Gwen Carr

Earlier this week, the NYPD fired Daniel Pantaleo, the police officer who fatally choked Eric Garner five years ago, after a police judge found him guilty following a departmental trial. Last Friday, another NYPD officer who was present during Pantaleo's fatal confrontation with Garner was docked 20 vacation days.

According to the Daily News, NYPD Sergeant Kizzy Adonis pleaded guilty to the departmental charge of failure to supervise. Adonis was one of the two police supervisors who responded to Garner's arrest on July 17, 2014.

As part of a plea deal, Adonis agreed to a punishment of losing 20 vacation days. Adonis was first charged with failure to supervise in early 2016, at which time she was placed on modified duty. However, she was returned to active duty—after some internal waffling—in 2018.

Video footage shows that Adonis was present as Garner was restrained by numerous cops and repeatedly stated “I can’t breathe!”—a phrase that later became an activist slogan of the Black Lives Matter movement. According to an internal NYPD report, she later told investigators that she did not intervene because “the perpetrator's condition did not seem serious and ... he did not appear to get worse.” Garner was pronounced dead about an hour later.

An NYPD analysis of Adonis's case stated that “nothing about her actions on that day either caused the use of the banned chokehold or delayed the arrival of medical attention for Mr. Garner.”

Excluding Pantaleo, Adonis is the only one of the 11 other officers involved in Garner's arrest to face disciplinary charges. Pantaleo's partner, Justin Damico, remains employed, despite having initially claimed that Garner was trafficking enough cigarettes to be charged with a felony, and telling investigators that force was not used.

well it was a white wine!

But really many of you do not get me...

I do not use race as a factor. Some DO. To them I come off as something that I am not. Ironic...

It's definitely a pattern

a pattern of blaming the killers and calling what they did crimes? A pattern of Not allowing race be a factor in my analysis. As some here seem to do.

Some think that poiting out contrbuting factors only to *in the vast majority of cases* dissmiss them as being a non-Exculpatory is the opposite of what it is.

The fact that most of these victims are not the best citizens... Brown had just robbed a store and attacked a cop, Gray evaded arrest, and Garner resisted arrest... all are a legal basis for an arrest. None of them complied.

Race is a bigger factor than some want to admit. At least I'M honest with myself in acknowledging it's significance. Sometimes things are so ingrained that you can't even see it

I know it is. I have not denied that. However, when looking at facts you are best served laying thoes aside. And having bias so ingrained as to be blind to them... yep and that applies to all of us.

so if you agree with the conclusions is it fine and dandy but if you do not agree it is bigotry? (which is what JJ seems to think! He said if a raced based slur was true it is okay: Joe Biden's remark on Duncan Donuts having people from India working in them.)

Again, how is acknowledging an empirical fact a "racial slur "? Every single Dunkin Donuts I've ever been in in about 4 different states in the last decade (at least 75 different stores), was run by people of Indian or Pakistani descent. Would it be a "racial slur " if one said that the majority of people working in Chinese restaurants were actually Chinese???

But we had this discussion before, and shouldn't be drawn into distortions and twisting of facts to suit anyone else's agenda

Did you see Chris Hayes town hall on Thursday. He gave a pretty good presentation to his audience about America’s history of racism, including who it’s first domestic terrorists were. I don’t think sny extreme righties would have been able to handle what he said.

I saw some Italians working in an Italian bakery. Oh wait, I shouldn't say that... it might be construed (confused? ) as a "racial slur "... I guess for some even acknowledging someone's race or ethnicity is a "racial slur "... how stupid

I ALWAYS said I treat people EXACTLY how they treat me. You call me a nasty disgusting name, I call you one back. I would never use these type of words or violence UNPROVOKED! You lay a finger on me, and I will beat your fucking brains in. I never said I was a pacifist. And I'm willing to fight back if I had to. It's not my fault if other people are too weak or scared to stand up for themselves. An eye for an eye...
