^^ LOL. it was SO damn STUPID he walked it back. Our current POTUS doesn't even understand radiation. Notice he's tweeting in the third person.

Mr. Trump reportedly pushed the idea during a hurricane briefing at the White House, much to the briefer's shock. Axios reports that the president also raised the idea in a conversation with NSC officials before current national security adviser John Bolton took over.

But after the story broke, the president called it "ridiculous." "The story by Axios that President Trump wanted to blow up large hurricanes with nuclear weapons prior to reaching shore is ridiculous. I never said this. Just more FAKE NEWS!" Mr. Trump said on Twitter.

Only 59% of the population even voted for President.

We really don't know how much of the whole country are Trumpers. He won by 77,000 votes in 3 winner take all (electoral votes) states.

True. I believe a lot of the initial support and good will he had going into politics has worn off for a lot of people. They gave the so-called "successful businessman" a shot and undoubtedly some have regret by now. -

-

He's a fraud. And the more people realize he's a fraud the better off we'll be. He's far from the "stable genius" businessman he's promoted himself as all these decades. Mayor Bloomberg, called it right. He's a con man.

He's a fraud and a conman who listened (or at least paid lip service to) people who felt like the Dems had abandoned them. Beating him should be shooting fish in a barrel if the Dems get out of their bubble.

It's hard to measure but I believe there is a factoin of people who are sorry they voted for him or sorry they did not vote at all. These are the votes the Dems need in 2020 and a candidate that is strong enough to appeal to the majority. Boots on the ground - canvass and make it happen!

Unrepentant serial adulterer Donald J. Trump is the one who marked up the hurricane map. This is a federal crime. You can argue whether it's a serious crime or not, but it is a federal crime. Either the law applies to everyone or we have a monarchy whereby the laws don't apply to our ruler.

The remedy for this is impeachment and conviction.

I'll never forget how republicans and most of the analyst on CNBC were soooo distrustful when it came to the Unemployment Report during the Obama years. I recall some even suggesting that Obama's Labor Dept "cooked the books" to make him look good. Especially Jack Welch. Everytime the Gov't reported positive job numbers he came off as mad skeptical and a "hater." I was like, "Come on Jack, we're winning right?!" lol

-

You could easily see how it pained them to report positive economic news.

-

The truth of the matter is: The economy has been on a record setting bull market run. This is the longest bull market in American history. 10 years and counting. As far as I know, our current President has only been in office for 3 years but pretends the bull market started with him in 2017. What's sad is, his worshippers believes it.

-

https://www.usatoday.com/...087021002/

-

My question is how much of the current market is based on our president's hyperbole. Because if we're going to determine how well we're doing based on him and his tweets, we're f*&$^d. lol

This is unbelieveable. Down here we consider NOAA to be the weather bible. Who knew that Orangetrash could get them to edit their forecast because he's a dumbass President wasting an entire week on playing weatherman on twitter.

https://www.npr.org/2019/09/06/758532041/noaa-contradicts-weather-service-backs-trump-on-hurricane-threat-in-alabama

...Underlining the reaction by meteorologists to the escalating debate over the president's claims is the fear that weather forecasting itself is becoming politicized.

"Hurricanes have never been a left or a right object," said McNoldy. "And I hope they don't become one."
