"Prince doctor sanctioned by Minnesota Board of Medical Practice"

http://www.startribune.co...567528322/

.

A doctor who provided medical care to Prince at the time he died of an opioid drug overdose has been disciplined for surreptitiously prescribing painkillers to the pop star in someone else's name.

.

The Minnesota Board of Medical Practice issued a $4,648 fine to Dr. Michael Todd Schulenberg for medical ethics and record-keeping violations as well as for hindering its initial inquiry into the doctor's prescribing of drugs to Prince, who was found dead from a drug overdose in his home in April 2016.

.

The board order approving the disciplinary action only identifies Prince as "Patient #1" and Kirk Johnson, his longtime friend who obtained prescriptions for him, as "Patient #2." But it describes circumstances that were widely reported following Prince's death and revealed in search warrants and other law enforcement documents.

Texts collected as part of the death investigation show that Schulenberg was concerned about Prince and had recommended that Johnson seek addiction treatment for him from Dr. Howard Kornfeld, a renowned addiction specialist in California.

I will never, as long as I live, understand why Kirk didn't just take Prince straight to Hazelden the second Schulenberg said that. He could have been there within minutes - and would probably still be alive today.

He's dead.

The pill that caused Prince's overdose was not officially prescribed and was sourced from the street.

They weren't denying the sanctioned doctor, just saying that won't change the fact that Prince is gone.

RIP sad

Well they had to do something just because but since his death wasn't caused by the actions of this doctor then it's a big shrug for me.

Huh? That doesn't make sense. Of course it came from the street. No pharmacy would have those pills with varying amounts of different 'product' in them. It's been proven that Prince didn't have any narc scripts prescribed to him.

This makes me so angry. A $4K fine is nothing to a doctor.

If you guys haven't watched it yet, watch The Pharmacist on Netflix. It's a winding story that starts around 2000 and ends at the current fentanyl crisis. It'll make you jump out of your seat in anger.

Prince's death was totally preventable and the powers at be are nearly complicit.

Prince chose to avoid doctors and purchase from the street. His choice...

Exactly. Prince's death is not attributable to the doctor sanctioned, nor the medications he prescribed.

Because it would have leaked out immediatelY that P was in treatment. Hazeldon leaks.
Kornfeld, on the other hand, ran a very private operation.
The major mistake was leaving P alone on the night of 4/20-21.

Schulenberg was previously fined $30,000.

But the point is that Prince's death was totally avoidable. I'm starting to believe more and more that he was surrounded by "yes men"...maybe just a Yes MAN. Either way, it was avoidable.

You will feel better if realize:

1. Prince chose to take these drugs all by his lonesome. He was an adult and chose to have Yes people around to make it happen (or he ordered them himself)

2. Dr. S had nothing to do with Prince's death.
